 Succeeding in the IELTS speaking test: Use appropriate vocabulary

Rather than trying to memorize a lot of words to use in the IELTS speaking test it is much more important to use appropriate language. The examiner will listen and check for how suitable and appropriate the vocabulary is.
比起尝试记忆很多在雅思口语测试中使用的单词，还不如使用适当的语言来得更为重要。考官会聆听、审查词汇的合适和适当程度。

Example #1 talking about economic development.
举例一：谈论经济发展

The IELTS examiner wants you to use professional vocabulary to express your ideas.
‘In recent years Qingdao has experienced great economic growth’. NOT ‘Recently people are getting more money in Qingdao’.
雅思考官要求你用专业词汇来表达你的看法。“近几年青岛经历了巨大的经济增长。”而不是“近期青岛的人们钱越来越多了。”

Example #2 talking about work.
举例二：谈论工作

‘I’m not satisfied with my current job because my boss doesn’t treat me well and I’m under pressure to work overtime. NOT ‘I don’t like my job because my boss shouts at me and he makes me work a lot’.
“我对我目前的工作不太满意，因为老板对我不好，我也不太乐意加班。”而不是“我不喜欢我的工作，因为老板对我大喊大叫，并且让我做很多工作。”

A student who demonstrates the ability to use appropriate language the examiner will give him/her a high grade for communicative ability.
一个学生展示适当使用语言的能力，考官就会在沟通能力方面给他/她一个高评级.
